Maison Chazelle’s tops look like an array of runway pieces with extravagant fabrics, but after taking a closer look you soon that they are “PRINTED ON “ comfy t-shirts or sweaters. Handmade accessories, Swarovski stones are added to the tops to make them even more glamorous and unique.
In 2005, Chaza Betenjane’s mom was diagnosed with breast cancer; her life soon began to change after her mom’s diagnoses – her family spent numerous hours at the hospital taking care of their mom both physically as well as mentally. With all the sadness in Chaza’s family, she sought for a hobby that would give them hope. She decided to create handmade accessories to keep her mom’s mind and hands busy – it was only a matter of time when their hobby turned into their first business: Tralala – this brand was created to show her mother’s strength and beauty through these accessories.
Chaza and her mother were seeking for a way to augment women’s strength through fashion – soon they would be styling models, singers, tv stars. Styling made Chaza yearn for more as she grew more deeply passionate about fashion. So, she launched Maison Chazelle, her own authentic retail brand that embodied her elegant style, strong personality, and passion to highlight strong and thriving women.
Why the name Maison Chazelle?
Chaza is the designer’s name and “elle” is the French word for “her.” The combination of the two words, Chazelle means the desire to inspire and to make a difference another women’s life through fashion. As a fashion designer with long wardrobe styling experience, Chaza am aware of the difference that a unique top can do to a women’s closet. This inspired her to create, her brand “Maison Chazelle”
Chaza wanted her customers to have quality tops that look classy, but are comfortable and practical to wear. The tops are versatile – you can wear them casually with jeans or with skirt and heels. All Maison Chazelle tops are handmade and printed in the USA with custom embellishments.
